Fish is one of the most important types of food in human life. It can be hunted in natural waters and grown at home. Fish is not only a cheap and nutritious food, but it can be a good source of income by selling it as live or cooked food. In terms of chemical composition, fish and fish products do not lag behind beef in taste, but they are much better in digestion. Fresh fish meat contains 15-22% protein, 0.2-30.8% fat
and a small amount of carbohydrates.
Fish oil is rich in vitamins A and D. Fish products are rich in phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and iodine. Fish can be second only to dairy and egg products in terms of their value, but it is far superior to lamb, beef and poultry. The average annual fish consumption by the world’s population is 16.6 kg. If the population of our country is 33 million, then it will be necessary to grow 300 thousand tons of fish per year. For a rational nutrition of the population, you need: proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins (A, D, B), minerals that are contained in fish.
To meet the needs of the population in fish, fish farming has been established in the country’s inland waters, lakes, reservoirs, and artificial fishing basins. The average fish productivity is 10-20 centners. In these reservoirs, the cultivation of carp, carp, grass carp, silver carp, catfish has been established, which can be grown mainly in local conditions or in acclimatized conditions.
