Fruits, vegetables and melons grown in the Republic of Uzbekistan are valued in foreign markets. All agricultural products intended for export must undergo phytosanitary control, writes Uza.uz
Inspection “Uzdavkarantin” under the Cabinet of Ministers of the country is carrying out practical work to open new markets for export.
In particular, the inspection obtained a phytosanitary permit from specialists from America for a number of agricultural products. As a result, permission was obtained to export beans, mung bean, peas, peanuts, raisins, almonds, walnuts, apricots and prunes to the United States. To study the quality of the grown products, farmers can contact any territorial department of the plant quarantine inspection.
In the near future, it is expected to obtain a permit for the export of Uzbek melons to the United States. Melon test results will soon be available confirming their safety. The States are also interested in other agricultural products grown by farmers in Uzbekistan, given
its competitiveness in the American market.
